Sales Engineer--Encryption

ARLINGTON, VA—infoLock Technologies is a data security consulting firm based in Arlington, VA, providing consulting and assessment services, software resale, and system design and integration services. As a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Encryption specialist partner to Symantec, we provide expert consulting services to those customers looking to implement DLP and enterprise encryption solutions. With Symantec's recent acquisition of both GuardianEdge and PGP, we are actively growing our practice to support these business lines.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to work on both pre-sales and post-sales related activities.
- Pre-sales activities include:
- Work with sales team to define and execute a sales strategy that creates a long-term relationship with the customer.
- Assess an account's technical needs, issues and requirements, and develop and manage a plan to meet those needs.
- Manage pilot evaluations and help provide technical assistance during the evaluation process.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and RFPs.
- Post-sales activities include:
- Assess and investigate client requirements during deployment.
- Perform system assessments, design, implementation, refinement and testing.
- Problem identification and resolution during deployment.
- Deliver formal and informal product training.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with the installation and administration of the GuardianEdge Data Protection Platform - Hard Disk Encryption, Removable Storage Encryption and Device Control - is REQUIRED.
- PGP Encryption experience is a PLUS.
- Strong communication, presentation, and client management skills REQUIRED.
- Professional experience working with all Windows server and client platforms and strong working knowledge of Active Directory.
- Experience with enterprise software management tools (SCCM, Tivoli, Altiris, etc.).
- Experience with setting up and administering relational databases (SQL databases) but no SQL language programming or DBA experience necessary.
- Experience at using/customizing/implementing web server technologies (Microsoft IIS).
- Experience in security related fields such as data encryption, mobile device security, pre-boot and two factor authentication, and PKI technology.
TERMS & COMPENSATION:
Our preference is for a consulting arrangement, although full-time hires will be considered. Additionally, preference will be given to candidates local to the Washington, DC Metro area, but non-local candidates will also receive consideration. Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience.
